Supporting Every Child in the Water
Swim sessions for children with autism, ADHD, and other unique needs
At Cub Club, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe, confident, and joyful in the water — no matter their starting point.
Our lessons are thoughtfully designed for children who are neurodivergent or have additional support needs, including autism, ADHD, or non-verbal communication styles.
calm, consistent approach
Children with special needs often benefit from calm, predictable environments — and that's exactly what we offer.
We use clear routines, soft transitions, and a flexible teaching style that adapts to each child’s sensory profile and emotional needs.
Our swim sessions focus on trust first, skills second.
There’s no rushing or forcing. Whether your child wants to play at the steps for the first few sessions or dives in with joy, we follow their lead — and celebrate each step.
sensory-friendly swim space
Swimming can be a powerful tool for sensory regulation, but the pool environment can also be overwhelming.
That’s why we: keep group sizes very small (maximum of 3 children), use clear instructions and work at your child’s pace, not a fixed curriculum.
communication, connection & trust
Not all children communicate with words, and that’s okay. We use body language, visuals, simple signs, music, and consistent cues to help your child feel understood and supported. Parents are welcome to join in the water as a comfort and communication bridge, especially during the early sessions.
We believe that building trust with your child is the foundation for progress — both in swimming and in confidence.
collaboration with parents
We see our role as a partner to your family. You know your child best — we welcome your input, your observations, and your goals.
Every child’s journey is different, and we’re here to walk alongside you, with patience and care. We’re always learning from you and your child. If your child needs to wear headphones, bring a comfort toy, or take a longer transition, we make space for that.
